Outdoor Spaces
The outdoors is an essential space to meet the most basic development needs
It is the place to run, jump, shout, climb or experiment with natural elements. We have a climbing area, swings, sandpits, water table and even a tree house. There is also an area dedicated to sports.
Andolina's Garden
It is a real privilege that our school is located in one of the most beautiful natural settings around Gijón. That is why our garden is a large meadow with grass, trees and plants. Here we step on leaves, discover mud, breathe fresh air and even see the mountains.

Tree House
Who hasn't wanted to build a tree house at some point? Here we built one thanks to the involvement of cooperative families and the children's building enthusiasm.
We armed ourselves with planks, levels and hammers. We learned to make cement, to take measurements... What do you think of the result?
The Sandpit
The sandpit is a place for play and investigation. With sand you can build, empty and fill containers, mould shapes, letters, numbers... These are very entertaining activities that contribute to sensory and psychomotor development.
Carpentry
The carpentry workshop is undoubtedly one of Andolina's most special spaces. Learning this ancestral craft, children not only build and work as a team. Without realising it, they also develop psychomotor skills and generate important neural connections.
Vegetable Patch
The main objective of this space is to enjoy and respect working the land. We dig, fertilise, sow and harvest.
We have seasonal seedbeds that we care for daily, watering and transplanting when necessary. Taking care of tools is also an important part, as well as observing plants, trees and little creatures that live in our school.
Sports Area
We have a basketball hoop, a specific area for playing football and even a hockey area in the gym. Of course, adults and children establish the rules to always enjoy themselves with respect.

Come and see our spaces
The best way to understand our educational approach is to experience it. We invite you to see how children learn and grow in contact with nature.
